Stranger on a Plane

Have you ever been traveling only by yourself? And been in a plane, had to sit with strangers. In Christmas! You got no book to read. Everything was awkward. Finally, you had to talk to a stranger. 

"Wow, Oliver Twist. Charles Dickens. You have a good sense in literature." I said to a man beside me. He was reading Oliver Twist. I just found that this might be a good topic. I knew much about Charles Dickens, that famous writer from Victorian period. At least, I could keep this conversation going, until I finally fell asleep. Because this was going to be a very long journey. I was heading to London, still about 10 hours more.

"Thank you. But I think everyone loves Oliver Twist." he said and smiled. See, it'd be a long conversation anymore. But still I didn't give up.

"Are you also heading to London?" stupid question.

"Sure. We all are." he smiled again and continued reading. I was really frustrated. 

"What's your name?" I asked

"What?" he looked very shock.

"I asked you about your name. You know, I may can guess the meaning behind your name. My friends say I'm pretty at it."

Now he giggled.

"I'm Noel!" he said

"Oh, so today must be your birthday?"

"No, no. I was born in May." he said and closed his book. Perhaps wanted to talk more.

"But, Noel is ..."

"Christmas. Everyone knows it. Without even having ability like yours."

"Where are you from?"

"London."

"Ah, so tell me. How's Christmas in London?"

"Are you gonna celebrate it there? It's been late."

"No, no. I came to London for New Year's Eve. And I actually don't celebrate Chrismast."

"If you don't celebrate it, why were you asking?"

"I just want to know. Is it wrong?"

"Okay, okay. Christmas in London is glorious."

"That's it?"

"What do you want more? And I actually never pay attention in it."

"Okay, so how's the New Year's Eve there?"

"You said you come here for that, right?"

"Yep."

"So why don't you just wait till you're there and watch it by yourself"

"But what if something bad suddenly occurs in this plane. Like what if the plane crashed?"

"If that your wish. I wish it came true."

"What? It's just... Ah, whatever."

"Don't be afraid. If the plane crashed, you would die beside me. And to die by your side is such a heavenly way to die" he looked at me and smiled

"The Smiths. Do you also like them?" suddenly the conversation was going well again.

"I'm English. We all love them. Do you like them?'

"I know some of their songs." I smiled and suddenly I thought that I began to love this man.

"What's your name?"

"What?"

"Your name. I'm asking bout your name."

"Sally."

"Who?" he looked surprise

"Sally. My name is Sally." I repeated

"No..." he looked confuse 

"Yes, not that Sally Cinnamon."

"I know, but ..."

"But what?"

"I've never met a girl called Sally in my entire life."

"Then... you just met her."

He smiled then.

"I'll take you."

"Where?"

"Somewhere. Where nobody knows if it's night or ...day."

Then we all laughed. Later, I just found this guy ain't just that stranger sitting beside me on a plane. He saved my life on that day where my star started fading away.

He's moved to Spain 3 years ago. But fans keep singing his game in almost every game. And he said that he also missed Old Trafford and everyone in it. He said Fergie will always be like a father for him. And OT is such a home for him. Now, fate always can find its own way. UEFA Champions League's Draw has just finished now. And Real Madrid will face Manchester United. They will first play at Bernabeu. Then Ronaldo will go back to 'home'. I just can't imagine how Old Trafford will be. But one thing, we'll welcome you home very nicely. See you soo, Cristiano :))

An Arsenal Fan Stated that van Persie's move to Man United was Right

Arsene Wenger asked the fans to respect Robin van Persie before the match against Manchester United on November 3. But some fans were still bullying him, especially when he gave his jersey to Andre Santos at the half time. Well, that's actually normal when your best player move to the biggest rival. But Arsenal fans should have stopped bullying him because van Persie actually gave a huge respect for Arsenal. In that game, Robin scored a goal for Man. United but he didn't celebrate. He said that he had played 8 years there and still give respect to all the people in Arsenal. He even hugged Wenger at the end of the game. But Arsenal fans were probably still mad. They still gave no respect to him. 

But a week later, a surprising statement came from an Arsenal fan said that Robin's decision to move was right. This is the whole statement that he wrote on twitter:

Manchester United has been crystal clear tonight and, for the first time, I don't blame Robin van Persie one bit for forcing his way out of Arsenal. He moved to a better team and turned down a bigger money offer from ManCity.

Paradise Live 2012 from Paris

 

Happy November, all you guys! Sorry it's kinda late cause already the 11th of November. I've told you before that Coldplayers will hold a party in this month. Party here means celebrating the release of Coldplay Live 2012 DVD. For you who already pre-order it must be very anxious for it. Same here. But be patient, it will be released in only 8 days from now on! And actually there's still a more party. But too bad I can't join it. So this Coldplay Live 2012 will not only be released in DVD but also be shown in cinemas. It will be shown on November 13th -means tomorrow in more than 50 countries, including Indonesia. But unfortunately it will be on selected cinemas. And in Indonesia, it's only available in Jakarta which is far away from where I live now. How lucky for those who are able to watch the live concert film from the best live band ever!

Well, being able to watch it or not, here's a good news for us. Coldplay has given us a video from the album to enjoy. It's Paradise live in Paris 2012. You may have been so familiar with this song or even the video which is featured the band members in elephant suit. How can we forget? Or we may have watched the live version of Paradise in their shows. But trust me, this is the best live version I've ever watched. The people in Paris are just so damn lucky. Begun with the sound of piano from Charlie Brown, it may sound usual if we only listen to it. But there's something special when we watch the video. The Xylobands here seem glowing in its best. The crowd are so damn enthusiastic. And I think it's a rare occasion that Chris asks the audience to sing along in this song. But he did it in France! Coldplay has given France a Paradise.

And don't forget what Chris said to the crowd at the end of the video:

 "Incredible. You've been incredible. Thank you so much."

Whatever and Our Dream

I have been living in a boarding house for more than 2 months. The life there is good although family life is surely irreplaceable.But I love my boarding house. The people in it are so kind and friendly, making me feel like home. But one thing that makes lil bit uncomfy, there's no room for us together to just gather or watch the TV. So yeah, when I'm back home, I have such a great feeling to be in front of the TV :D. Even though some TV shows suck :/ Well, I've talked to much I guess. I just want to share my story. Well, an Oasis related, still.

So this is the story. I actually more enjoy the advertisements than the TV show itself. Some ads are just funny,ear-catching, and creative. Like this one. This is an Coca Cola New Commercial. I guess they made this for Indonesian Youth Pledge Day on October 28. This spreads about The Dreams of Indonesian young generation to change this country into a better one. As we know that Indonesia now has very complicated problems in many aspects. And the one who can make change is the young generation with their great spirit and ideas. 

What makes this ads catch my ears easily is the back song of this song. I was surprised because it sounds familiar on my ears. It's Whatever by Oasis. I guess this ads also inspired by this video. It's the Coca Cola Commercial in 2011. As a fan, I'm surely proud of this. My favorite band's song is used in a commercial for social act. I'm also proud because it's not only me or other Oasis fan who is inspired by them. But also some big brands that believe their songs are suitable for a good message they will spread to the world. 

The use of Whatever as a back song is such a great idea. This song has nice lyrics. Such a guide to reach our dreams . Fyi, this song was written by Noel when he was still a building constructor, in 5 minutes only! He wrote this for his father, because he actually didn't want to be what he wanted. That's why he wrote that he is free to be what he wants to be. And as we know that Noel finally becomes one of a legend in music.

So guys, we are the king of ourselves. We have a right to choose what we want to be, what we will dream of. Start from now on, dream it then you will find some reasons to believe it will happen someday

New Blog

I just made a new blog which contains some stories or tales I create by myself. There are already 3 posts there. Don't worry, I will keep updating this blog. I made a new one because I will make this as an English blog only. I will not post something in Bahasa here. So when I make a story or have something to tell in Bahasa I will post there. Coldplay Live 2012

Brace Yourself, Coldplay will release their second live album, Coldplay Live 2012. Have you ever watched Live 2003 before? It's been 9 years since Coldplay released it. And now they come with their new live album, Coldplay Live 2012. It's about Coldplay live performances on Paris Stade de France, Montreal Centre Bell and Glastonbury 2011. The album will be released on November 19, but you can pre-order it first here. The album will be released by Parlophone on CD/DVD, DVD/CD, Blue Ray/CD, and digitally. Fyi, the director for this film is Paul Dugdale who's also the director of Adele’s Live at Royal Albert Hall dan The Prodigy’s Worlds On Fire. On their official twitter, Phil Harvey added that The Scientist and Don't Let It Break Your Heart will come as the bonus track.

Chris Martin said that this Mylo Xyloto tour is actually the best moment of Coldplay as a band. In this tour, they started using LED wristband which we all know as 'Xylobands'. In the end, the frontman gives a huge appreciation for the fans :

"Over the years, our crowd has become more and more a part of the concert itself. They're loud, diverse, full of soul, and make the songs sound much better than we can on our own."

An Amazing Inauguration Night with English Department UNS

Last night was one of best night I've ever had. Sorry for just posting it and also for not including any pics in. I don't have any :( Wait, I haven't told you what happened last night. Okay, here I'm gonna start it. So last night was the inauguration of OFF AIR (an event welcoming new students like me held by English Department). It was very amazing. All the ED family, not only the fresh men also join this event. First, we watched the video that was made by the fresh men. So 1 month before, we had been divided into 6 groups. Each group make one video. The name of the groups were taken from TV programs such as News, Reality Show, Talk Show, Parody, Infotainment, and Music. And at the inauguration, before we played each video the group have to send two members to represent about the video. And they also have to wear a special clothes. well,, we usually call it 'Cosplay'. All the groups really have done their best. We're all satisfied about the video. But there must be the best of best. So the best video went to 'Infotainment' group. They made a video about Anang and Ashanty spent their Holiday in Solo haha. But my group, Reality Show, also won an award on Best Yel and Backsong. Undoubtedly because Reality Show is a group of 11 loud and funny people. I'm proud to be a part of them! :)

The upper semesters also had a great performance. ED'11 came with their acoustic session. They played Rolling In The Deep, Somebody That I Used To Know, and When You Love Somebody. They also performed mix-dance, mostly Korean dance including Gangnam Style :D. 

The Inauguration was closed by the performance from BTB (Better Than Broadway) a drama group from ED. They performed a great drama. The story was involved by poor patient, a greed doctor who's only looking for money, a whore, a hoodlum, and a salesman. The salesman came to them offering the content in his case. He got many rejection from them. But then those people finally saw what's in his case. They showed many reactions. The poor patient was laughing terribly. The doctor was speechless. The whore were tempted to cry. And the hoodlum cried.  The day after they all knew what's in salesman's case, their whole life changed. The poor patient are healthy. The doctor isn't greed anymore. The whore now becomes a singer that's been her dream since long time ago. And the hoodlum becomes the singer's bodyguard. They told the audience that their current life is much better now. 

After that, the salesman finally appeared. He took his tie and jacket off. Then asked the audience whether we wanted to know what's in his case. And we all said 'yes'. Then he opened it, showed us the content. And it's not like what I've expected before. I was really speechless like the doctor when I knew about it. It was just a word printed on a paper. But it's such a magical word. 'HOPE' that's the word. The salesman also added that the HOPE can always make us stay alive. And what makes me get more goose bumps is the back song after it. The music crew played some chords of a song that I've already known. A song that makes hundred thousands of people sing along, spread all their dreams. 'You said that you've never been cos all the things that you've seen will slowly fade away'. Then I suddenly got some goose bumps after listening to a part of 'Don't Look Back In Anger'. Then all audiences clapped their hands. All the actors come up and the one that becomes the hoodlum asked us to sing along Don't Look Back In Anger. I surely didn't want to miss this moment. I sang along with all the audience though some of them didn't. I actually got cough and had a problem with my voice. But I kept singing, spread word by word. I felt like truly in an Oasis concert. DLBIA is truly a magical song which could unite all the people from different race. 

That was truly an amazing night. I will never forget it. I'm so happy to have a new family like ED :)

Be Grateful and Love What You Do!

Hello, howdy? Me myself have an amazing but tiring day cos College has already started. I've got two assignments but only have finished one :D I got two days free so here I'm updating this blog. So yeah, even though the lecture has started but there are still some events held like Expo(Student's Extracurricular Show) and AAI (Islamic Event). During the AAI, the moderator gave a question to us if there's still student who actually not want to enter my university. Surprisingly there are some raising their hands. Not included me ofc. Then the moderator gave us a great advice: "You have to grateful being a student in this university. By entering here, it means you have cut 9 students' dream to get here" Well, I shouldn't be shocked of this because actually my university isn't the number one favorite uni. But still,though maybe this isn't their dream uni, they should be grateful cos many people outside still look for an uni, or HAVE TO study in private uni which costs so much money.This uni, even maybe haven't been the best, has also been a favorite for some people. This phenomenon also reminds me to one of Noel's quotes:

"Nothing bothers me more than when groups like Pearl Jam and Nirvana whine and moan and complain about life and being famous. Let me tell you, being famous is great! The feeling when someone asks you for an autograph, unbelieveable! I just think Americans are tired of people telling them how crap their lives are. I think when people listen to our music, we tell them how good their lives could be. I guess I just can't understand the thoughts of Eddie Vedder or that whole bit... I mean, lad, if you hate your job so much, why don't you fuckin' go work at a car wash or McDonald's or something?" 

Noel, he somehow arrogant but always reminds us to be grateful to the God. Life is just simple. Just love what you've got and it will be more beautiful. Maybe it's not same as what you've expected. But who knows it will be better someday? God knows the best for us, gives what we NEED, not what we WANT. So if you think you haven't got what you have dreamed for so long, God may have better plan for you. Time is the door and patience is the key. Don't worry, cos GOOD THINGS ARE COMING OUR WAY!

Hello, fellas. How are ya? Me having a very good time this week. Enjoying a holiday in my aunty's house. But tomorrow after I'll be back to real life. Yeap, I'll start my study in college. Wish me luck, kk?Here I come about the story of uhm, not my holiday. But about everyone's most favorite band, Coldplay! It's almost the end of August which I think it's the time when I start becoming their fan. I don't quiet remember about the exact date. I'm sure I began listening to their songs more in this month. Also joined the best fandom ever in the world. but it actually started in the middle of July. It's Saturday evening, such a tiring day so I turned up the radio wishing a very good music to bring me into a good mood. The radio just announced about this week's chart. I was too late because it came up to the winner. but i regret nothing, even kinda curious to know who the winner was. and voila, I heard that intro, it began with sounds of acoustic guitar, then he sang 'I turn the music up. I got my records on. I shut the world outside until the lights come on' I was overwhelmed by those amazing lyrics, musics. Aaah, even the announcer hadn't told about the artist, I've known that it is Coldplay! the voice of the vocalist is easily being known cause I already listen to some of their songs. I just haven't put some interests to this band. But since this magical song that suddenly turns my world into heaven, I give everything I have to this band. Since that, I listen more to their songs. Their single or even not. All is amazing. Dayum, why did i just realize it ugh? Then I joined the fandom, they are truly the best ever, welcoming me nicely. Telling me to just fancy them by my own way. Since that, I also download some of coldplay live videos. And whoaa, it's so much better than the studio version. I promise myself to watch 'em live even the chance of them to come here is almost impossible. And since I've become their fan for about one year, I also got a wish. Just a simple wish. I wish I could always support them by my heart all the time.

I know I'm not a good story teller. But here I give me the point "Coldplay, even you're not the first band i like, I'm sure you're the very first band who could make me a better person than who i used to be." THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

That's what written by The Huftington Post when Chris messed up the lyrics of Warning Sign while performing a show in Boston. He said he thought of something bout the London Olympics so that he forgot the lyrics. This isn't the first time. He ever forgot the Warning Sign lyrics before. He also messed up the Us Against the World lyrics in Glastonbury Festival bout a year ago. So he had to pause the performance which had come in a half of the song then said sorry for it. That's his weakness point. But as I've told you before, Chris could change his weaknes into something adorable. Hi, folks! As we know Linkin Park have released their fifth studio album called Living Things on July 26. It currently has a single called Burn It Down. You can watch the official video here. Now they are preparing the next single called Lost In The Echo. Also for its video. I love when they annouced it. This is my favorite track of the album so far. The album itself was fine. It reached number 1 on Billboard, beating Maroon 5 and JB album at the first week lyrics. But I think this isn't their best. Well, that's just a random opinion from me. Hurts Like Heaven and Mylo Xyloto Comic

Hello, long time no blogging uh? I was pretty busy preparing my registration to university. I have to prepare many documents cos I also apply a scholarship. Hopefully I can get it! Amen! Well, that's a lil bit of my story no back to the post. I'm gonna post some news, well exactly just two -__- from my- I mean our favorite band. Cause I realize that all the whole world love Coldplay, right? :)

First, they will release their 5th single called 'Hurts Like Heaven'. You can find it on the 2nd track of Mylo Xyloto album. This song usually played along with the instrumental Mylo Xyloto in live. And it will be released on August 6. Here I give you the video they played it on Rock am Ring festival in Germany a year ago.

 

And another news is there will be a comic inspired by their album tittle. Yeap, Mylo Xyloto.There will be 6 series of this comic book. The first series has published on 12-15 July at San Diego Convention Center. This comic was created by Mark Osborne whom we know as the writer and director of Kung Fu Panda and Sponegbob. The plot of the comic itself is about a knight or hero called Silencer which lives on the world called Silencia. There will be a character called Major Minus too. Alhamdulillah

Alhamdulillah! Got sei dank! Finally the college announcement has come and look I've accepted in Sebelas Maret University majoring English Literature. Thanks God beacuse i was very pesimistic wondering if i couldn't reach the passing grade. But finally I'm accepted. Now I just have to prepare everything for the registration. Still haven't got any information about it. Maybe it will come out on two days later. Also beacuse the college is far away from my home i will rent a room and live alone.. No parents anymore so i have to start being independent :D

So while Coldplay held a concert at Miami American Airlines Arena in June 29, Gwyneth was watching and then Chris ran to the crowd. He gave a surprise kiss to that Oscar winner. Well, it's such a rare action cause they actually rarely appear to public. They also don't really like to talk about their relationship in public. Gwyneth even once said that the couple will never appear in red carpet together. But after this, who knows that they will do?

Begitulah penggalan lirik dari lagu AKA... What A Life yang dipopulerkan oleh mantan gitaris Oasis, Noel Gallagher bersama proyek solonya yang ia sebut Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Selain handal sebagai gitaris dan penulis lirik, Noel sendiri adalah seorang penggemar sepakbola yang cukup fanatik. Dia terkenal sebagai penggemar juara Liga Inggris musim ini, Manchester City. Dia juga seorang penggemar fanatik tim nasional Inggris. Album terakhir Oasis, Dig Out Your Soul pun sengaja ia rilis setelah kualifikasi Euro 2008 lalu. Walau Noel harus memendam rasa kecewa karena Inggris tak lolos kualifikasi saat itu.

Nah, berhubung tahun ini Inggris lolos ke putaran grup, Noel menyempatkan diri untuk hadir di pertandingan Inggris melawan Swedia. Mungkin saking fanatiknya terhadap City, ia pun membawa bendera Manchester biru itu dan mengibarkannya di tribun.

Lalu apakah Noel juga menyanyikan lagu di atas? Tidak. Lagu ini memang bergema di Euro 2012. Namun hanya saat jeda pada laga antara Jerman vs Yunani di PGE Arena Gdańsk tadi malam. Oasis memang banyak diidolakan oleh para pemain sepakbola. Sebut saja Tevez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Del Piero, juga pemain terbaik di dunia sekarang ini, Lionel Messi. Bahkan Del Piero berkali-kali mengundang Noel dalam pertandingannya karena menganggap Noel sebagai jimat keberuntungannya. Para pemain Jerman pun mungkin juga banyak yang mengidolai Noel sehingga memilih lagu ini diputar pada pertandingannya. Laga itu sendiri berakhir dengan kemenangan 4-2 Der Panzer.Kini mereka tinggal menunggu pemenang antara Inggris vs Italia. Apakah akan ada lagu-lagu Oasis atau Noel's HFB lagi di Euro kali ini? Kita tunggu saja!

Finding Soul

Masih pagi yang sendu. Saya baru tahu bahwa ternyata saya tak sekuat yang saya rasa dulu. Kaki masih berat. Kegagalan kemarin belum sepenuhnya bisa dilupakan. Entah kapan. Yang jelas harihari ini saya bangun dengan rasa hampa. Tidak seperti biasanya, saya selalu ceria dan siap menghadapi apa saja. Sekarang, yang ingin saya hadapi hanyalah kasur dengan bantal di atasnya. Sungguh rasanya hampa mengetahui impian saya pupus begitu saya. Lebih menyakitkan karena sebelumnya saya sudah menaruh jiwa saya padanya. Sehingga ketika ia pergi, jiwa saya ikut dengannya. Mungkin impian terkadang memang seperti Rock n Roll band. Ya, harusnya saya mendengarkan Noel pada Don't Look Back In Anger. Please don't put your life in the hand on a rock n roll band. We throw it all away. Ya, harusnya saya tidak terlalu berharap pada bayangan. Karena itu belum atau malah tidak nyata.

Saya sudah coba membaca banyak quote agar termotivasi. Walau sampai sekarang, masih belum berpengaruh apapun. Ternyata saya memang masih sangat lemah. Lemah dan lelah. Saya tahu masih ada satu kesempatan lagi. Tapi entahlah, saya juga tak terlalu berharap. Takut tersakiti kembali.Dan juga rasanya saya tak lagi bisa berharap. Belum saya temukan jiwa saya yang menggelinding jauh itu.
Kini saya mencoba menemukan beberapa kepingan jiwa. Sulit memang, karena menyusun jiwa jauh lebih sulit daripada menyusun harapan. Kadang saya lelah. Sekian mil saya lalui namun satu kepingan pun belum saya temui. Namun saya tetap berjalan. Tak ada kompas, karena saya sudah tak memercayainya. Saya hanya berjalan ke mana jalan ini akan membawa saya. Ada banyak tikungan tapi saya tetap saja lurus. Meski hati saya mengatakan saya harus berbelok, tapi saya mengabaikannya. Selain jalan yang lurus, saya tak percaya pada hal lainnya lagi.
Saya masih berjalan. Belum berhenti. Walau terus berharap bahwa mungkin mati lebih baik. Tapi sampai sekarang Tuhan tak juga mengirimkan malaikat mautnya. Berarti memang belum saatnya bagi saya. Saya masih akan hidup. Entah sampai kapan. Dan saya akan terus berjalan. Entah sampai mana.

Mum

Long time no blogging. Such a hard week. I'm graduated with (Alhamdulillah) satisfying mark. But I failed entering my dream university by SNMPTN Undangan (w'out test just taken from our score from 3rd-5th semester). But it's okay there's still one more chance by the test. I'm kinda pessimistic cause there will be a social test and i'm not from social class. I'm from language class. But I must fight and not give up before the war. I have to study harder than i did, pray more frequently then I did, and be patient than I was.

By the way, why the tittle of this post is 'Mum'? Well, that's because i realize how great and strong she is! I was kinda afraid to tell mum that i failed. Cause it might hurt or somewhat. But when i dare enough to tell her, she just said : "That's okay, sometimes it's not about being genius. It's about LUCK! And it's harder to get it than be genius. You have to pray more frequently. So do I". After that, I just can't bare to cry. She is even stronger than me. How stupid I was to just know how great but simple A MOM is. What she actually want isn't something with big prices or what but just to see their children happy. That's it. I love you, Mom! I promise to make you proud of me :)

Whom I often listen for this month? Definitely : OASIS! Though sometimes i have a strange feeling when i call them like that. we all have known that they have broken up 3 years ago. :( And the relationship between Gallaghers are worse. They insult and do not talk each other. BUT TODAY! There's a news reporting they are talking again after (i honestly hate to say this cause i'm a red) man. city win premier league. I'M DEFINITELY HAPPY for this. Even though they are very controversial and having bad habit, I do adore them for their very amazing music. for the honest and powerful lyrics that save million soul. they are a good example for us to chase our dream. Maybe the reunion is still far away cause noel also will take 2 years break in music. But seeing them talk each other has made million fans cry hysterically. Read the article here

The date of releasing the video still hasn't been known. But don't worry I will post as soon as possible as they annouce it :D. And what do you think about those pics? Look so damn great, don't they? I just think that the video for this song will be more fun. And take a look at Chris' pic above, he looks so hot, rite? :D. and the bottom pic of him! Ahahah. How can he become so hilarious and adorable at the same time? But that's what he always shows us. But don't forget Rihanna. 'Burn It Down' : A New Single From Linkin Park

Hello. Here some news about Linkin Park.They will release their new single of their new album called 'Burn It Down'. Mike Shinoda has confirmed from his twitter account that this song will start airing on Radio from April 16, 2012. This song gets some positive reviews. Even Rolling Stones magazine called it as good as Life In Echo.

The band also have started making the video of this song. Their new album will be named as Living Things as what they said on twitter. Just can't wait for this. Oh, the band seems want to give a mystery for this new one. They will give some puzzles at their official website about some information of this album like their latest album, A Thousand Suns.

Fallin' Apart

"Tadi aku melihatmu lewat depan kantor guru. Mau ke mana?"

Itulah sebuah pesan darimu yang baru saja kuterima. Tak segera kubalas. Aku justru tersenyum dan membayangkan dirimu gelisah menunggu jawabanku. Apa kamu tahu bahwa aku amat menyukai ini? Aku suka kau menaruh perhatian padaku. Kau mau menyisihkan beberapa badan untuk melihat tubuh mungilku berjalan melewati kantor guru, yang cukup jauh dari kelasmu. Untungnya masih terjangkau pandanganmu.
"Perpustakaan." dan aku tersenyum lagi membayangkan bagaimana reaksimu yang akhirnya mendapat balasan dariku.
"Aku menyusul, ya?"
Lagi-lagi aku tersenyum karenamu. Kau pasti sekarang tengah berlari ke sini. Segera kucari buku dan mengambil tempat duduk di pojok, yang sudah kau ketahui.
Lalu kau datang, menggangguku yang seharusnya membaca. Dan kauceritakan lelucon-leluconmu yang seolah tak pernah habis. Dan kita tertawa bersama. Aku suka tawamu yang lepas. Itu mengingatkanku pada seorang kawan di kelas 3 SD dulu. Tapi petugas perpustakaan tidak sependapat denganku. Dia melotot dan menyuruhmu diam. Saat itulah kita akan keluar. Kukembalikan buku yang baru kubaca satu kalimat. Di luar kita kembali tertawa. Tidak ada mata yang melotot kali ini.
Hari-hari berikutnya masih sama. Aku baru membaca satu kalimat. Kau datang dengan lelucon baru lagi. Dan petugas menyuruh kita keluar sekarang. Kukembalikan lagi buku itu dan kita tertawa lagi di luar.
Aku suka leluconmu, tawa anak SD-mu. Aku akan girang jika kau mau memberikannya. Kuberanikan menatap matamu untuk tahu itu. Tapi tidak kutemukan tangan yang terulur. Bahkan bayangan tanganku yang menengadah pun tak ada. Perlahan aku menjauh. Menarik kembali tanganku.
Esoknya ketiga petugas perpustakaan menyuruh kita keluar, bukunya tak lagi kukembalikan di rak. Namun kupinjam agar bisa kuselesaikan. Entah kapan akan kukembalikan. Mungkin hingga kutemukan tangannya terulur.

Champagne Supernova (Sebuah Cerita)

Segala hal berubah pada akhir musim. Angin, matahari, langit, dan segala hal di sekelilingmu. Semua bergeser sangat cepat. Kau bahkan tak dibiarkan merajut sweater untuk musim dingin.

Aku memandang tempat kehormatan yang di salah satu sudutnya terdapat botol-botol champagne. Dan kini aku mencari dia. Harusnya aku sudah bias melihat punggungnya. Namun yang ada hanya kuda kebanggaanya. Aku jadi teringat perkataannya kemarin:

“Aku jelas akan selalu memilihmu daripada botol-botol champagne itu.”

Aku melihat semua orang sudah siap di atas kudanya. Tinggal dia. Kudanya masih sendirian. Beberapa saat kemudian ia dipinggirkan. Dan lelaki pembawa bendera berdiri di tengah-tengah kami semua. Benderanya ia pegang tinggi-tinggi. Dalam hitungan 3 bendera itu akan turun. Dalam hitungan itu juga aku menghitung champagne di tempat kehormatan. Hanya ada dua. Harusnya tiga.

Ketika bendera sampai di dada laki-laki itu, aku meminggirkan kudaku dan berlari cepat. Ada yang memperhatikan tapi lebih banyak yang mengabaikan. Aku terus berlari. Matahari berteriak agar aku ke utara. Dan angina berbisik menyuruhku ke tenggara. Tapi aku tahu aku hanya akan ke selatan. Di mana semua orang pulang.

Dan dia ada di sana. Terlentang di atas sabana yang langsung mengarah ke sungai. Dia dikelilingi botol-botol yang bisa menerbangkannya. Salah satunya champagne itu.

“Kau lebih memilih champagne daripada aku.” Aku ikut berbaring di sebelahnya. Tapi ia justru bangun dan duduk.

“Ini akan kubagi denganmu.”

Dia tersenyum dan membuka tutup champagne-nya. Isinya menyembur tinggak hendak mengotori langit yang mulai berwarna oranye. Kemudian turun membasahi kami berdua. Kami tertawa. Dan jam-jam setelahnya kami saling berbagi champagne itu. Hingga langit mulai hitam. Tapi bintang belum juga muncul. Ia mulai terlihat kesal dengan itu. Buru-buru menenggak champagne banyak-banyak dan menyemburkannya langsung dari mulutnya. Kini ia seperti melihat ledakan supernova di langit itu. Ia terbahak-bahak.

“Aku tidak ingin menjadi angina, matahari, atau langit sekalipun.”

“Lalu kau mau jadi apa?” dia menenggak lagi banyak-banyak dan menyemburkannya. Kini ia terbahak-bahak puas.

“Boleh aku jadi bayangan, tapi yang berjalan di samping dan bukan di belakangmu?”

“Jangan cuma jadi bayangan.” Dia meletakkan botol dan mengambil posisi duduk.”Jadilah kawanku yang nyata.”

Dia tersenyum. Begitu pula aku. Kami berpelukan, saling menepuk punggung dan menghabiskan champagne di botol. Hingga tanah menerbangkan kami mendekati langit.

Antara Kopi Pelabuhan dan Teh Ibukota

"Kau jadi pulang ke ibukota besok pagi?" diberikannya secangkir kopi dan aku tersenyum menerimanya. Lalu aku mengangguk menjawab pertanyaannya tadi.
Dia terus berjalan dan membuka jendela. Menghirup kopinya menghadap pelabuhan. Angin pelabuhan ikut masuk. Aku menaikkan resleting jaketku hingga menutupi leher. Dan menghirup kopiku sambil menanti pertanyaan berikutnya. Namun menit-menit berlalu tanpa kata-kata lagi. Mungkin dia hanya akan mengajukan pertanyaan yang sama dan sudah pernah kujawab.
Aku menghirup kopiku sekali lagi. Merasakan pahitnya menyentuh pangkal lidahku, kemudian berlari ke kerongkongan dan akhirnya tidur nyenyak di lambung. Kopi buatan lelaki pelabuhan ini memang menagihkan. Untuk itu aku sering bolak-balik ke sini. Sebenarnya aku cukup betah berlama-lama tinggal di pelabuhan. Anginnya yang bau pasir dan tentunya kopi lelaki itu. Tapi kadang aku tidak mau terlalu banyak minum kopi untuk begadang semalaman. Aku juga butuh aroma yang menggelitik bulu hidung dan membuatku terlena hingga terlelap. Pria-pria ibukota punya itu. Mereka menyajikan teh-teh melati di pagi hari. Yang aromanya akan menempel terus di bulu hidung. Memanggil-manggil untuk segera pulang.

Fallin' in Love

Seorang sahabat bercerita bahwa ia sedang jatuh cinta. Aku sedikit terkejut mendengar itu. Kupikir selama ini dia jarang memikirkan hal-hal seperti itu. Hampir tidak pernah. Kurasa dia orang yang serius. Yang begitu memperhatikan studi-nya melebihi apapun. Tapi aku salah. Cinta lebih kuat dari segala logika manusia. Gelombangnya bisa menembus karang-karang di tepian hati kita.
Sahabatku bercerita bahwa orang yang membuatnya jatuh cinta adalah teman dekatnya selama ini. Dia berkata bahwa kali ini dia tak punya alasan untuk mecintai pria itu. Di situlah dia berfikir bahwa perasaanya benar. Dia lalu mencoba mengingat detail-detail kecil kebersamaan mereka yang dulu tidak ia perhatikan. Aku ikut bahagia. Dia benar-benar sedang bergelora sekarang.
Ketika dia menceritakan detail-detail itu entah kenapa aku mengamininya. Sepertinya aku juga pernah demikian. Mengigat hal-hal kecil bersama seseorang yang sebelumnya kufikir hanyalah debu di jendela. Lalu keperpanjang pandanganku melewati punggung temanku yang sedang bercerita itu. Dan bertemu dengan matanya. Dia memandang dan tersenyum padaku. Hanya sedetik. Tapi aku bersumpah ini satu detik paling panjang dalam hidupku. Aku merasakan pandangan mata dan senyumnya menabrak karang di tepi hatiku. Harusnya dia karam. Tapi ia masih berlayar. Dan aku hanya berharap dia cepat berlabuh.

Yellow Blinking In You Eye

Ada sebuah meja kecil dengan dua kursi yang tak kalah mungilnya di taman depan rumah. Aku suka duduk di sana sehabis Maghrib. Seperti sekarang ini. Kebetulan sedang bulan purnama. Aku duduk di sini dengan segelas teh celup. Kucelup-celupkan kantongnya agar cepat kental. Dan bayangan bulan yang kuning bulat memantul di dalamnya. Aku mendongak dan mengangumi kecantikannya. Bintang-bintang seolah menjauh takut tersaingi sinarnya.

Dan aku tersenyum. Tersadar apa yang baru aku lakukan. Aku jadi hobi melihat bintang gara-gara seorang teman di SMA dulu. Dia selalu memaksaku melihat mereka. Dan berusaha meyakinkanku bahwa mereka itu kuning dan selalu berkedip. Aku jelas tidak setuju. Mereka jelas-jelas berwarna perak dan hanya diam melotot. Perdebatan pun dimulai. Biasanya dia akan membuat perumpamaan bahwa bintang itu seperti mata kita yang berkedip setiap saat. Aku menyangkalnya lagi. Bintang tidak punya kelopak seperti mata kita. Mereka hanya punya bola mata berwarna perak yang selalu bersinar.

Biasanya dia putus asa setelah itu. Namun tetap belum mau mengakui pendapatku.

"Suatu saat akan kubawa mereka ke mataku dan kau akan percaya mereka benar-benar kuning dan berkedip."

Aku tertawa. Dan tehku tumpah sedikit. Mengenai permukaan sebuah benda di atas meja. Aku menengok sebentar. Ada sebuah undangan yang masih terbungkus plastik. Percikan tehku tumpah di sana. Kecil-kecil seperti embun. Namun berwarna coklat. Aku menaruh tehku di sisi lain meja dan mengambil undangan itu. Kurasa ia sudah di sana dari tadi. Namun aku terlalu tertarik pada bulan yang cantik di atas sana hingga mengabaikannya.

Kubuka plastiknya. Undangan itu warnanya krem. Aku membuka dan melihat namanya tercetak di sana. Bertinta kuning keemasan seperti inisial di muka undangan. Aku melihatnya berkedip seolah mengejekku bahwa teori bintang perak dan melototku itu salah. Bayangan matanya seketika muncul berkedip-kedip. Bola matanya tidak lagi hitam. Tapi seperti tinta yang melukiskan namanya itu. Dia telah membawa bintang-bintang tadi. Hanya agar aku melihat dan membenarkannya. Bukan untuk kumiliki.

The Raid : Serbuan Maut

Hi, all! I'm still having a test but can't bare myself to not blogging hehe. So here I come with some posts. First I'm gonna discuss about The Raid movie, one of must-watching movie in this month. I haven't watched though cause it's exam so I can't go out of this city to watch it. No cinemas here in my town. Pech!

But I truly recommend this movie to all of you. Because beside it's a pride of Indonesian (first Indonesian movie which is also releasing in US, Canada, and Australia :D)

This is an action movie directed by Gareth Evans and played as the lead role is Iko Uwais. He's as great as Jacky Chan or Tom Cruise :D. Also good looking haha.

The Raid is basically about a SWAT or Kopassus in Indonesia which is actually an elite agent that has been kinda famous in International. In this movie that SWAT team attack a building which is a place for producing drugs. Many seccurities there so they must fight. Beside all the kung-fu and 'pencak silat' or other self defenses, both team also have a gun. You will get an action as other Hollywood movies. the ability of Iko Uwais is also very pure and as good as other Hollywood actors. IMDb give 8.4 from 10 stars. Is it enough to list it as a must-watching movie, isn't it?

Oh, an addition. kinda out of topic. I first know about this movie because Mike Shinoda (from Linkin Park) is one of the producer. He also make soundtrack for this movie :)

And about this blog i'm gonna post something new. Some news from Coldplay, Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars, Man. United and others are still here. The new thing is i'm gonna post some short stories, not fanfic. I've been inspired by some blogs while i'm blogwalking which has good entries about a short but great story. It will be more like song literature. Because a song always be an effective drugs to make me write. But it will be in Indonesian still. But don't worry further I will also try to write in English. Hope you will enjoy it :)

Champagne Supernova

Halo, wie geht's? Maaf banget karena blog ini jadi amat sepi beberapa hari ini. Terakhir lagi saya posting ternyata sekitar! Astaga! is it true? 20 hari yang lalu. Waktu Chris tepat berumur 35 tahun. Banyak sekali kesibukan saya selama 20 hari itu. Maklum, harus menjalankan kewajiban sebagai siswa kelas 3 SMA. Bisa ditebak kalau nggak try out ya ujian. Selama seminggu terakhir ini saya menjalani Ujian Sekolah. Yang cukup membuat frustasi. Entah karena saya kurang serius atau memang beginilah kadar otak saya. Banyak sekali sebenarnya uneg-uneg yang ingin saya sampaikan di sini. Namun waktu, kata-kata, kadang jarang akrab dengan kita.
Dan di sinilah saya sekarang mencoba menulis sesuatu tentang apa yang mendiami otak saya selama dua hari ini.
Champagne Supernova. Pernahkah anda mendengarnya? Sekedar judul atau beberapa potongan lagunya? Atau mungkin keseluruhan meski hanya sekilas? Atau juga beberapa kali diputar. Seperti yang saya lakukan akhir-akhir ini?
Itu sebuah lagu dari OASIS. Salah satu lagu terbaik mereka dan favorit saya sepanjang masa. Bukan karena itu lebih sering saya dengarkan dari lagu-lagu lainnya. Tapi itu terjadi karena ada bagian di dalamnya yang membuat saya ingin terus memutar lagu ini lagi dan lagi.

Ketiga kalimat itulah yang membuat melakukan hal yang saya sebutkan di atas. How many special people change? Ya, berapa banyak. Berapa banyak orang-orang terdekat kita yang berubah? Kita tahu bahwa kita seperti musim yang terus berganti. Dan kadang-kadang pergantian musim pun teramat ekstrim. Hingga sisa-sisa musim terdahulu tidak bisa terlihat lagi. Kita memang berubah. Dan harus! Tidak mungkin setiap tahun hanya ada hujan dan tak ada kemaraunya. Tapi kadang kita terlalu berubah. Membuat orang-orang merasa kita bukan lagi kita. Tak banyak teman yang pergi, tapi banyak sekali dari mereka yang berubah.
Pernah baca Forgiven karya Morra Quatro? Novel itu juga salah satu alasan saya sangat menyukai lagu ini. Pada bagian sinopsis dia menulis 'Forgiven. Cerita tentang lelaki pemuja Champagne Supernova. Dan wanita yang selalu memimpikan bintang itu.' Yang ia maksud sang lelaki adalah Will. Dan perempuannya adalah Karla. Novel ini salah satu favorit saya, karena mungkin saya tengah berada pada posisi seperti Karla sepuluh atau sebelas tahun yang lalu, saat ia masih Kelas 3 SMA dan punya teman yang sangat maniak Fisika bernama Will. Mereka sahabat dekat, bahkan Karla selalu menganggap Will sahabat terbaiknya. Saya menyukai persahabatan mereka yang gila dan mengasyikkan. Tapi pada akhirnya mereka akan lulus dan mulai menentukan nasib mereka sendiri-sendiri. Di situlah awal mereka berubah. Atau mungkin bukan berubah. Tapi menjadi mereka yang sebenarnya, yang jauh belum kita ketahui. Karla mengatakan bahwa dia memang sangat dekat dengan Will. Sangat amat dekat. Tapi itu tidak cukup untuk membuatnya tahu siapa lelaki itu sebenarnya. Mungkin seperti itu jugalah teman kita. Mereka punya beberapa sifat yang kadang tidak dinampakkan ke kita. Dan ketika menampakkannya, kita akan bilang mereka telah berubah. Menjadi dewasa menyebalkan? Bisa jadi. Dan itu bukan karena tugas-tugas yang akan kita emban saat menjadi 'gede'. Tapi karena kita akan menghadapi hal-hal yang menuntut kita menjadi seperti yang dunia inginkan. Dan bisa jadi itu bukanlah kita yang sesungguhnya.

Happy Birthday Chris Martin

So yeah, today is March 2. That means a lead-vocalist from British Rock band, coldplay, that we all known as Chris Martin is celebrating his 35th Birthday!!!! So let me give some words to thank to him for everything! Thanks a lot, God for making me fancy a lot about him. He has everything that make someone become an idol. He doesn't smoke or addict to alcohol. He's vegetarian and care so much about social problem, remember Make Trade Fair Campaign? He's also a good father and leader for his family. 8 long years marry to Gwyneth and there's no rumor about breaking up or even divorce is the fact. His humble personality makes him really adorable. and of course, he's a great musician that always makes great song that not only becomes a hit, but also a life saver for some people. and though not that religious, he's a Believer and always said that God is the Most Powerful. I know nobody's perfect. So is Chris. He's probably not good looking enough to be a front man band. But he can always makes his imperfection to become an adorable thing.
I adore him only since July last year. That's kinda too late but I know that I know him more than any other artists I've adored before because Chris is so who he is. he always makes me confident and proud of myself. His magical lyrics always can make me feel better. Or when it's a sad song it always makes me realize that i'm not alone at all in this world. He spreads positive things on each word he says. Since that I always imagine him as my best friend. as the wise one who tells me what i should or not do.
Chris, they may just lil words that mean nothing. I'm sure about it. once again, thank you so much for being here even it's just your voice through my mp3 player :). I LOVE YOU
