Sunrise Catcher

A post after a semi hiatus. A wonderful journey with my new big family, LPM Kalpadruma. We went to 'KETEP', a natural resource wherein we could see Mount Merapi, the most active volcano in Indonesia.There's no such a bliss like nature. The mighty Merapi is there, guiding us on the way. For the first time of my life, I don't look up the sky. Finally, we are the sunrise catcher that day.

Inseparable

I post at the first day of July. So it's been almost 2 months since my last post. Whoaaa, I'm sorry but I'm back today. Well, let me tell you a bit. I am indeed (that-usual-excuse-everyone-used) busy. I'm at the end of my second semester so there are bunch of assignments. But this thing doesn't really distract me for blogging. I need a break for this world so I did. And now I'm back.

Beside those assignments, I actually have a new hobby: tv series marathon. I did this since I watched Sherlock bout 3 months ago (can't bear myself cos all those Sherlockians keep flooding my dash with that stuff). Now I just finished Doctor Who Marathon in Season 4. There are still 3 seasons I need to catch up. All these series are so damn brilliant, thrilling, amazing, etc. I'm so damn in love with them. With the brilliant storyline and great actors, this show is must a watch. 

AND NOW, I'm (obsessed) deeply in love with an actor who played the modern Sherlock Holmes in BBC Sherlock. Yep, the brilliant Benedict Cumberbatch. I love him for his brilliant acting. Like, God, he can play rule given to him. I actually have known him since year ago. Cos people on tumblr are so buzzing about him. At first, I was like 'Who the hell is this man? Weird face and name' But then I watched Sherlock and realise why those people are crazy about him. Cause he is indeed brilliant. He could portray the legend detective Holmes brilliantly. No one can play Sherlock Holmes better that Benedict. I could tell much more about him an the show but this post is not about it so just let's go to house.

Here I bring you a short movie of him. He played double here, as Joe and Charlie (showed how great talent he has and he got a range for every characters he played). Joe and Charlie are totally different. Joe is a young Dad who is diagnosed brain cancer while Charlie, he got a messy life. So after knowing that he got a cancer, Joe switched to Charlie, made them get a new life round. It just takes approximately 11 minutes to watch this short movie. It's probably just a short, the story is just simple and there is still flaws in some aspects. But still, this is the first short movie that deeply touched my heart, making me cry. and adoring Benedict Cumberbatch's acting at the same time. If you do love Benedict or sort of this movie, go watch it! It's highly recommended. 

Sir Alex Ferguson

There's a line in Maroon 5 song said that 'even the sun sets in paradise'. And I guess 'nothing ever built to last' just sound very cliche. Oh well, I just hate farewell. Goodbye is always the hardest thing, especially for someone you love most, for those who give thousand or even million sweet memories. 

So yesterday afternoon, the football world just 'lost' one of the legends. Everyone is just too shocking because there are no signs before. But how can you get a sign from an unpredictable one? He always does it. He says that a player is doubted to play but then in starting eleven. Months ago he said he could manage for 2 years or 3, but yesterday he announced a retirement. His mind is just too complicated to guess. But that is probably what makes him always get on the top level.

71 years old, 56 years in football world, 17 years as a player, 39 years old as a manager (where the last 26 years spent for a club)

In those 26 years, he already get 49 trophies with 2150 games and 1250 games. Those numbers are just too huge to get close to. 

Now people are talking about a replacement. But that's totally not the right word. No one could be able to replace him. He's irreplaceable.

We may look selfish to still wish you would still be here. But Sir, 26 years is just way too long, way too many sweet memories, way too much unforgettable moments. How can you ask us to be just fine?

After all, I can't do anything but wishing you the best for the retirement, and THANK YOU!

Silver Linings Playbook

I know it's always love driving us crazy.But have you ever thought about two crazy people fall in love each other? Will love make them even crazier or sane instead? Well, this is what we'll find in Silver Linings Playbook. This is a story of Pat and Tiffany, they both had a mental problems and had to stay in the hospital. Pat met Tiffany when he was invited to Ronnie's house after coming out of the hospital. At the first time, he didn't like Tiffany. But seeing the chance that Tiffany can probably help him get his wife back, they were finally friends. Tiffany promised to help Pat as long as he wanted to be her dancing partner for a competition. Well, like other romantic comedy movies, we already can guess how it's going to an end. But Romantic Comedy isn't always that boring. This movie has an interesting background of its main characters. They are crazy, sometimes too rude, but somehow can touch the deep inside of our heart. Both Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper have successfully done their best. Jen really deserves her Oscar for being a 'crazy slut' as Tiffany. At the end, this is one of best romantic movies I've ever seen. I also learn many things from Pat, how he never gives up to achieve something even others underestimate him, also how he always stays positive and keeps his belief about getting silver lining at the end.

The Girl on Fire Won an Oscar!

She won an Oscar in 22. She fell down on the stair and made audience stood up. She realized that also added it to her speech. I can't describe how much I love Jennifer Lawrence more. She really deserves an Oscar!

Mind Your Language

 

This morning, my lecturer showed me this video. This video is about an English course. The students itself are the immigrants from different country such as Pakistan, Japan, Germany, Italy, France, and so on. They all have very different characteristics. The course is never easy, especially for the professor, Mr. Brown because his students are just very complicated. They all have different background and sometimes their different cultures just make the class more messy, but in good and funny way ofc.

After looking for some info about this, I found out that this is from the first episode of British TV Series, Mind Your Language. And it's first shown in 1977! Wow, it's been a long time ago. But it's still very interesting to watch it in 2013. This series is just very different because it entertains and educates at the same time. We can also get a moral value from this, especially about learning a language. That it doesn't matter about your pronunciation or accent, as long as it's acceptable, that's okay!
