Kinda late update! So I am back
from sort of hibernation. Hehe, and here I am bringing you an update from my
favorite band, Coldplay! They got a new song, yay! It’s been a long since we
heard about their piece of music since Atlas, which is sort of dream come true
for me cos it’s included in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack. Two
fandoms unite!
W ell, our favorite band seems to
be exploring with some new kinds of music. Do not think of alternative sound or
soft rock. This new song is totally a reborn of them. We probably still can’t
get over the magnificent Mylo Xyloto era. I sort of am in denial that that era
is already over. Well, judging from this new song, they go 180◦
from the previous one. No more splashing colors or sound that will make you
jump out of your bed. We couldn’t judge them by a single song ofc but the new
one that is called Midnight represent it all.
Let’s throwback on 2011 in which
they released Every Teardrop is A Waterfall. It brought such a happy melody
which began the cheerful MX era with its glowing wristband, spray cans, and
painted instruments of theirs. Midnight goes on the contrary. It sounds way
darker than Coldplay used to be and a bit indie too. And instead of playing
with colors, they make a negative-framed music video. What a revolution!
So this is it. The new era has
just begun. Time to wave goodbye to the colorful Mylo Xyloto. That was a
wonderful era. I hope this new one is just getting better.
